We are excited to announce that Hayakawa Japanese Language School & Cultural Center will be hosting En-nichi (縁日) on Sunday, December 8th, 2024. This event is a perfect opportunity for our students and their families to immerse themselves in the joyful atmosphere of a traditional Japanese festival.
As the interest in learning the Japanese language grows among young students, many of our current students have expressed a desire to introduce their children to the culture as well. En-nichi aims to bring the excitement of Japanese tradition to the younger generation and create lasting memories for the whole family.
Event Highlights:
Wanage (輪投げ): A traditional ring-toss game that’s fun for all ages.
Shateki (射的): Test your aim with this classic target-shooting game.
Kingyo-sukui (金魚すくい): Try your hand at scooping goldfish.
Sugoroku (すごろく): A traditional board game..
Omikuji (おみくじ): A traditional Japanese Luckey fortune
Fuku-warai (福笑い): A traditional Japanese game, that's popular during New Year, and more...
Our classrooms will be transformed into a lively festival setting, filled with games, laughter, and a chance to experience the spirit of Japanese culture. We encourage all students to join us with their families for a day of fun, learning and cultural exploration.
Mark your calendars for this exciting event and get ready to dive into the rich traditions of Japan at Hayakawa’s En-nichi celebration! We look forward to seeing you there.
